SARW Youth Sailing 2020
Most of St Augustine Race Week was canceled due to Covid. But, the Youth regatta remained on the schedule. I love how SARW was postponed from its usual last weekend of March / First Week of April time slot to August. And then it was again "postponed" to March April 2021. So, apparently every year from now on, we'll have 2020 SARW, in 2021, 2021 SARW in 2022 etc, until someone gets enough stones to either call it a cancel or have a second race week in a year to "catch up." Given the logistics of pulling off a race week, not bloody likely.
Odds are however, that next year's SARW will simply be called SARW 2021 and nary a mention of what happened to the SARW 2020 postponement in the ethereal reaches of the time space continuum. Forever wandering, lost in the mists of time.
But, the kids raced. And it was a lovely day to be on the water. Once those pesky thunder boomers wandered off...
Day 1. Slight Storm delay, followed by a good afternoon of racing. Winds started out light, but built slowly all afternoon. To the point that by the last race, the races were only lasting about 10 minutes. Six races complete.

By the way, After my 4 month long Sunset series, someone asked if I ever got up to take the Sunrise? My answer was, "yeah, when I'm out cruising. The View kinda sucks for sunrises from the boat in its slip."
Any Questions? (that's the bath house/heads at the top of the ramp)
-- Much love.
